It's well known that in the greater Stockholm area one has to wait 3+ years to 'rent' a gardening lot / kolonilott/ odlingslott from an odlingsförening that rents the land from the kommun. Usually, you can only rent ones in a particular kommun if you live there.

I was wondering how one can apply to start a new one. There is so much land in Täby and clearly a great demand for this. I wrote to Täby and I am waiting to hear back, but I wonder if anyone has any input. Thanks!
