Small Frogs - An ancient Swedish midsummer ritual

In Swedish, it is called ”Små grodorna” and is a tribute to small frogs. The dance always accompanies the song. Swedes are taught the lyrics and dance moves at a very young age. If they weren't, it would be impossible to pass the tradition from generation to generation.

This is the English translation of Små grodorna:

Small frogs, small frogs, are fun to see.
Small frogs, small frogs, are fun to see.

No ears, no ears, no tails they have.
No ears, no ears, no tails they have.

Co-ack-ack-ack, co-ack-ack-ack,
co-ack-ack-ack-ack-kaa.
Co-ack-ack-ack, co-ack-ack-ack,
co-ack-ack-ack-ack-kaa.

No hats, no hats, no pants they have.
No hats, no hats, no pants they have.

Co-ack-ack-ack, co-ack-ack-ack,
co-ack-ack-ack-ack-kaa.
Co-ack-ack-ack, co-ack-ack-ack,
co-ack-ack-ack-ack-kaa.

We probably do. 😀 I don’t usually think of them because they are so deeply programmed into my brain.
